Google Says No More Mobile Pop-ups in 2017

Google announced back in August 2016 that on January 10, 2017 it would begin penalizing sites that use “interstitials”—which applies to pop-ups that users have to dismiss in order to continue navigating on a site, as well as advertisements that cover the top half of the page.
