Interestingly, creative agencies and nonprofits share common pain points in scalability: the need to be more efficient with existing staff and the need to increase income streams.
As a consultant, I am uniquely positioned to help solve these vital challenges after owning a full-service digital agency, where more than half of our clients were in the not-for-profit sector. I understand the challenges inherent in increasing profit margin as well as augmenting online fundraising.
How I Collaborate With Clients
Working with creative agency leadership, I help increase productivity and profitability—then we devise and implement an innovative business development strategy to bring in more of the work they love—by focusing on inbound, outbound and strategic partnerships.
With non-profits, I work with development and communications teams to increase income and efficiency in order to enable an organization to become self-sustainable. By augmenting the volume, frequency and dollar amount of individual donations—as well as automating manual processes—we decrease reliance on grants, government funding and/or endowments, which can dry up in an instant.
With over 15 years experience in entrepreneurship, business development, project management, branding and all aspects of web technology and digital marketing, I have the breadth and depth of experience needed to quickly recognize gaps in revenue streams and workflow automation, make practical and cost-effective recommendations, and implement solutions collaboratively with individuals and teams.
Before establishing Digital Web Consulting, I founded Liqui-Site, a web development and digital marketing agency in 2003 (sold in 2016)—which was the recipient of several national and international awards for creative excellence and web technology innovation. I also founded a holistic health and wellness company in 2007 (sold in 2011), to educate consumers and help practitioners gain online visibility, as well as to increase enrollment at related educational programs across the United States.
Prior to these entrepreneurial successes, I served as Art Director for an international e-learning platform, Art Director for the web technology division of a financial services firm, and Graphic Designer for a branding and advertising firm. I’ve been a consultant to several nonprofits and creative agencies across the country, as well as organizations in the science, education, printing, publishing, luxury goods, manufacturing, distribution, entertainment, healthcare, wellness and technology industries.
I am a proud graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program and the Nonprofit Consultants Institute, a member of the Association of Development Officers (ADO), a marketing committee member of Philanthropic Planned Group of Greater New York (PPGGNY), and a volunteer with Soup Angels soup kitchen in Nyack, NY—serving those among the homeless, working poor, or living with mental or behavioral challenges.
